Ingredients

  • a tiny amount of either butter or neutral oil
  • 1 8 inch flour tortilla
  • 2 Tablespoons honey mustard spread
  • ½ to ¾ cup shredded medium cheddar cheese measure with your heart.
  • 3 to 4 slices deli ham measure with your heart.

Equipment

  • 1 10 inch nonstick skillet
  • 1 spatula

Method

  1. Preheat the pan over medium heat, or just above medium heat.
  2. Lightly butter or oil the pan.
  3. Spread the honey mustard spread over the tortilla. Add to pan.
  4. Sprinkle cheese all over the tortilla and around the edges of the tortilla, directly on the pan. Do not touch the cheese around the edges as it is cooking, or you will get a mess.
  5. Tear the ham into pieces and spread evenly over the tortilla. Cover the pan with a lid so the ham heats through. Uncover the pan after about 2 minutes.
  6. Cook until the cheesy edges are solid enough to move as a unit. They will also darken in color slightly. Carefully fold the tortilla in half over itself.
  7. Remove from pan, cut in half, and enjoy your quesadillas!
