Father’s Day 2021 is fast approaching, and you still have no idea what to get your dad, husband, brother, step-nephew twice removed, significant other, etc.!? Never fear, I’ve got you. If a fella in your life likes to cook, check out these ideas:

Hedley & Bennett Apron

Hedley & Bennett aprons are durable, functional, and fun to wear. They come in a rainbow of colors, and are lightweight, but super tough. I am really hard on mine, and it always washes up great every time. You’ll often see these aprons on popular food media chefs. Also, they have great pockets!

Maldon Flaky Sea Salt

If you have a budding cook in your life, Maldon salt will change their cooking game. Made in Maldon, England, this is a finishing salt perfect for sprinkling on top of steaks, chickens, buttered toast, or vegetables. My favorite way to use it is sprinkled atop chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven.

Grill Mats

If you like to grill, you need a grill mat! These are used for grilling more delicate things, such as fish or chopped vegetables. You put the mat on the preheated grill, then place your food on top! It doesn’t stick to or fall through the grates. They are washable, and these come in a pack of 6.

A Kitchen Scale

I just got a kitchen scale in December, and I use it all the time. It’s perfect for bread making, or any baking, really. You can also use it for measuring chocolate, or anything that calls for ounces, grams, kilos, pounds, fluid ounces or milliliters.

Grill Tongs

Grill tongs are a summer essential. With 17-inch handles, and no silicone coating, these will keep you far enough away from the heat, and grip your food perfectly.

Air Fryer

Ah, the air fryer. What an invention! It’s basically a small convection oven that sits on your counter, waiting to fulfill all of your snacking and re-heating needs. I know people cook full-blown meals in them, but I have not tried that yet. I mostly use it for re-heating leftovers or making snacks. They crisp up so nicely! This is not the exact model I have, but it has excellent reviews, and it has a 20% off coupon right now!

OXO Good Grips 12″ Non-stick Skillet

This is the America’s Test Kitchen winner for the best non-stick skillet. I have the 8″ and 10″, and I use them almost every day. I want the 12″, too. The non-stick is amazing. Eggs slide around, nothing sticks. It’s awesome. There is also a version with a metal handle that I assume can go in the oven, but it’s more expensive.

Stainless Steel Kitchen Shears

I can’t tell you how many pairs of regular scissors I have broken in the kitchen. Get the dad in your life some good kitchen shears, for crying out loud! They’re very affordable, come apart for easy cleaning, are dishwasher safe, and will save many pairs of scissors from an untimely demise. I finally got myself some this year, and it’s such a frustration saver.

Cake Strips

I have a fraught relationship with layer cakes. They’re kind of my white whale. The layers always sink in the middle. I thought I had tried everything, but then I bought these! The cakes came out TOTALLY EVEN. It’s like magic. You get them wet, wrap them around the outside of your cake pan, bake them, and I think they cast an even baking spell on the cakes.

Traeger Pellet Smoker

I mean, I can’t think of a better gift. 😉

I hope you and your family have a great Father’s Day. If Father’s Day is hard for you, I hope you do something fun and treat yourself! You deserve it.
